Attorney Comparison Sheet

If you're talking to more than one lawyer, a simple side-by-side makes the decision clearer once all the meetings start to blur together.

It's entirely reasonable to meet with a few attorneys before choosing one — most offer free consultations for exactly this reason. This sheet gives you one place to compare them fairly, once the details of each meeting start to blend together. Nothing here is collected or sent anywhere — it's simply a sheet for your own use.

After the third phone call, every conversation starts to sound the same. Write it down while it's fresh.

How to use it

Fill in one block during or right after each consultation, while the details are fresh. The "gut feeling" line matters more than it might seem — you're likely to be working with this person for months, so how clearly they explained things and whether you felt heard is real information, not just a nice-to-have.

Pair this with the first meeting worksheet to prepare good questions before you go in.
