Information we collect
Information you give us. Most of this site is free guidance you can read without giving us anything. If you use the "Become a Reviewer" contributor form, we collect what you enter — name, position, firm name, email, phone number, states licensed, areas of practice, and anything you write in the experience field. If you email us, we receive whatever is in your message.
Information collected automatically. Like most websites, we collect limited technical and usage data through analytics and similar technologies — for example an approximate location derived from your IP address, device and browser type, pages viewed, and the site you arrived from. We use this to understand how the site is used and to improve it.
Future case-review form. We plan to introduce an optional, free case-review form for accident victims. When we do, it will collect the details you choose to provide (such as your name, contact details and information about your accident) for the purpose of connecting you with independent attorneys. That collection will be clearly explained, and consent obtained, at the point of collection, and this policy will be updated accordingly.
Cookies and analytics
We use cookies and similar technologies for essential site function and for analytics (for example, Google Analytics 4). You can control cookies through your browser settings, and where required we provide a consent mechanism. Disabling some cookies may affect how the site works.
How we use information
To operate, secure and improve the site; to follow up with reviewer applicants who contact us through the form; to understand usage through analytics; to respond to messages you send us; and to comply with legal obligations.
How we share information
We share information with service providers who help us run the site — for example hosting (Cloudflare), analytics (Google), and our contact-management platform, which we use to process reviewer inquiries — under appropriate terms. We may disclose information where required by law. When the future case-review form is live, information you submit for that purpose will be shared with independent attorneys or partners only with your consent and as described at the point of collection. We do not sell your personal information; see Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information.
Your privacy rights — US residents
A number of US states now have consumer privacy laws (including California's CCPA/CPRA, and comparable laws in states such as Colorado, Connecticut, Virginia, Texas, and others). Depending on where you live, you may have rights to know what personal information we collect, to access, correct, or delete it, to obtain a portable copy, and to opt out of the "sale" or "sharing" of personal information or its use for targeted advertising, without discrimination for exercising these rights.

We honour the Global Privacy Control (GPC) browser signal as an opt-out request where applicable. We will verify requests before acting on them and may need to ask for additional information to do so.
Our position as a UK-established business
Because we are established in the United Kingdom, our processing of personal data is also subject to UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018, regardless of where a visitor is located. Where UK GDPR applies to a particular processing activity, our lawful bases are: consent (for example, when you submit the reviewer form), legitimate interests (for example, running and securing the site, and responding to inquiries), and compliance with legal obligations. If you are in the UK or EEA and believe we have not handled your information properly, you have the right to complain to the UK Information Commissioner's Office (ico.org.uk) or your local supervisory authority.
Retention and security
We keep information only as long as needed for the purposes above or as required by law, and we use reasonable measures to protect it. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure.
Children
This site is intended for adults and is not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 16. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will delete it.
